Vera was born in Lisbon, Portugal and grew up in Montréal, Canada. She graduated from Dawson College in Languages and Literature and studied Political Science and Development Economics at McGill, one of the world’s top 25 universities (QS World University Rankings). She has an MBA from Cardiff Business School, United Kingdom and she is currently enrolled in a PHD program.

Public Sector Experience
After graduation, she worked as Press Attaché for the Québec Parliament in Canada and she was a Census Commissioner at Statistics Canada, considered to be “the best statistical organization in the world” by The Economist.

IT Background
She worked as IT Analyst for Pink Elephant in London, United Kingdom and as IT Consultant for Hewlett Packard in Stuttgart, Germany.

Management Consulting
During her 12 years as Senior In-House Consultant at Siemens in Germany; Vera conceptualized and implemented large-scale complex change initiatives in more than 30 countries. She led corporate strategy execution by liaising across functional areas and at all levels of the organization. She was identified as a high-potential employee and consequently completed the Siemens Leadership Excellence (SLE) in 2005.
Vera left Siemens to pursue her dream of starting her own company – a consultancy in her area of expertise with related coaching and training services.

Vera is a polyglot speaking fluently 5 languages. She is an avid auto dictate and lifelong learning is her credo. She is a coach to local youth organizations and enjoys teaching languages privately. She lives in a small Bavarian village with her German husband and two boys.
